Not Discover Card but otherwise yes.
My favorite Italian restaurant!!!
Yup
I've only been there once, but the place sure looked like it could easily handle that.
Yes they do
Reservations are not required, and if you do not take them. However, they offer a call ahead service which lets you put your name on the list for a table before you get there. just the same as with the list, if you are not there when they call your name, they will move on to the next person.
You can call the restaurant, pay over the phone, they can mail it to you. Then you can send wherever you desire.
Pepsi
I got to try Armstrong's during covid and I really have to say it's excellent. I've tried the manicotti dinner multiple times since and have never been disappointed.
When I went to get a take out order the area where u wait was packed with people shoulder to shoulder. I waited outside. When my Order was ready the employees had no gloves or masks on. There needs to b precautions if a business wants patrons to come back. I won’t b going back for a good long time. Very irresponsible of Armstrong’s!
Always a warm inviting atmosphere with amazing food options. Friendly knowledgeable service. Can't go wrong with a salad or some belly filling pasta!
This is not a real website for Armstrong's. I ordered meals that, according to the website prices, came to $61. When I went to pick the order up, I was charged $71. When I complained that the price was higher than the website, Armstrong's told me that they DO NOT HAVE AN ONLINE MENU and that someone else posted that and they cannot take it down. How can you NOT have an online menu in 2020???
Very good. Service was fantastic.
The Chicken Parmigiana was delicious and so were the sides. 4 stars because no fork, knife or napkins were provided for a take to my hotel room order.
One of my go-to spots to grab something to eat. very good location, well organised, and great service. I highly recommend them!
I love Armstrong's! My go to meal there is the spaghetti and meatballs. The portions are huge, fresh, and so delicious plus you get all you can eat bread and a bowl of homemade soup with your meal. I was out of the area last week so I stopped at a chain Italian restaurant and the quality did not compare. All it did was remind me why I keep coming back to Armstrong's!
Have been here a total of 3 times in 20 years went tonight just to see if things had changed or improved over all we still can't understand what all the hype is about. Had the chicken Romano which was essentially an omelet covered piece of chicken, red sauce was just OK not hot will agree that the pink vodka sauce was very good and hot. Over all I do feel that the menu is overpriced for the quality of cooking. I really wanted to like this place again just doesn't seem to work for me. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was due to the good service by our server.
Excellent food, and service. Staff is friendly and Courteous. Sufficient parking. Not sure but I believe it's bring BYOB. Most credit cards accepted. Each time I return to Pittsburgh, I make it q point to visit ARMSTRONG'S
The food was so increfible, I traveled from Texas to visit my sister and this was the first place she wanted to bring me. It was everything and more with the food. What I did have an issue with was our server, she was an older lady who really didn't pay much attention to our table, we didn't get even an offer of a single drink refill, I ordered an extra wedding soup to bring home and I requested a little extra bread to go as well, and she motioned to the basket and the 3 half pieces in it and said I was welcone to take that and walked away. Your food is amazing, but her service was horrible. I would be more than happy to give her name, but we were not given a receipt, we were there at 3pm on Aug. 29th and sat at the table right next to the register.
We live in Florida and when we are up in PA we love going to Armstrong‘s restaurant in Coraopolis. We always start out with the Wings, they are the best around. After that anything we choose is always delicious. We were there a few months ago and had Mary as our waitress. We really enjoyed her company she was very personable and really on top of things. We were just there again and unfortunately we did not write her name down, like we usually do. We asked the hostess to give us the names of the servers that were on that day, when they said Mary we said that’s her! We had Mary again for our server. She is just such a nice girl very attentive and we just enjoy her company at the restaurant. You can’t go wrong with the food and Mary’s name is definitely written down for the next time. Unfortunately it won’t be for a while and we wish we had an Armstrong’s restaurant and Mary in Florida. I can’t believe she remembered what we had a few months back.
Best description: it like an Italian denny’s. Alfredo was creamy but pasta over cooked.
So MUCH FOOD! Went out to eat with friends and will be eating it again tomorrow! Salads, burgers, soup, pixza bread, pasta, appetizers and pie! Not one complaint from anyone. We all took our desserts to go. You just couldn't pass it up. Every piece of pie coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. So, we got 6 pieces of different kinds to take home. Plus, all of our leftovers 🤣( no cooking tomorrow)
Food is always amazing and quick service. You get so much for the price. Never had a bad experience here!
Wedding soup is really good. The Chocolate Mousse pie was delicious! Great service!
Armstrong's was fabulous. First of all one person in our group had mobility issues. We were seated near the front at a table. We were there for lunch. Get the hot sausage casserole and the wedding soup. The wedding soup is loaded with stuff, not the usual mostly broth. It was loaded with all kinds of things. Terrific Nice size serving of it and hot sausage casserole. ..translated, I had enough left overs for dinner. The hot sausage was great, much better than what i buy at grocery. Is it a pittsburgh thing. Everything is better in the Burg. Hubby and I shared a piece of chocolate mousse pie. Now I am stuffed, really stuffed. I wish I lived in Pittsburgh but I am back in October for a week. And I am coming here. It is terrific as was the considerate service.
Great food and service
Amazing food with incredible portions. BYOB and there is no stem fee or corking charge. Good service with an excellent waitress. Everyone loved there food. Stuff eggplant parmigiana was a favorite of mine but everything we had there was great! Will definitely be back soon!
Service and food was good. I had prime rib special. It came out just right as ordered, medium. Caesar salad must have some blue cheese in it. The dressing was more sour than I prefer. Waitress said it comes from a mix. Their air conditioning wasn't working well though. I hope they get it fixed soon. It was uncomfortably warm inside. That's why only 3 stars.
Great service. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. You will drive right past it if you don't know it's there.
Good food. This place has been a staple in Pittsburgh for decades. The food is always amazing.
We went on a Friday in Lent for a good fish sandwich. What we got was a “fishless” sandwich. If we wanted an almost empty bun we would have gone to a bakery. The bun was so long and thick and the one piece of fish was so thin you couldn’t taste the fish. They used to put so much more fish on the bun. They raised the price to $11.25 and cut back on the taste.
The hot sausage sandwich was both huge and very tasty! The service was fast and friendly!
I always get the best food for the money. Anything you order will be good.
They have great food. And everyone is nice!
Great meatballs 👌 but doesn’t serve alcohol. If you’re planning on enjoying a glass of wine with your Italian, then you’ll have to bring your own.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is fast and the food is very fresh. Its a great place for a couple or the family.
First and last time to order there. Ordered the pasta bake. The sauce is nonexistent
Decent place, standard atmosphere that doesn't stand out too much. Very upsetting that this place doesn't accept Discover cards though.
Hands down the best restaurant in Moon. Service is always fantastic and you get SOOOO much food with your orders. It's always a plus when the food is delicious too!
Fantastic food. They do a wonderful job packing the food for takeout.
Awesome food. The waitress was polite and very attentive. I will be back
Had a wonderful calzone (Italian stuffing) for lunch. Portions are big and delicious. Staff is very friendly and handled the busy lunch time very well. Will definitely come back.
I have been going to this restaurant since I was a kid and it's always had good food and good service. The staff is very friendly and the menu has many choices. Very nice atmosphere!
Rather disappointed. The entree was overcooked. The bread, soup and salads were good. The main dish just let this meal down.
Good food but over sized portions that I can't eat. Which makes it seem too expensive. Needs a senior menu or tapas for people not looking get two meals out of lunch.
Great staff...from the very top on down. Huge portions. Quality/fresh food. Fair prices. I highly recommend.
Eating a good meal while flipping my money doing stock options. Paid $180 had a instant profit return.
I love this place! Can not wait for things to return to normal so I can return
this place is worth goin , great food
Armstrong's is the perfect balance of delicious food and reasonable prices. We come by every time we are in the area. Last time we had the steak special for the grown-ups and my daughter ate mine. Kids loved the pasta and pizza bread. Really popular place, but they have call-ahead to get your name on the list (just know that it is not a reservation).
It was my first time at Armstrong's. I will say that immediately I wasn't that impressed with the menu because there were not a lot of vegetarian options. There was a soup that sounded vegetarian but was actually made with chicken broth. Our server was friendly enough but the decor felt old and the cheese calzone had a sweet cheese in it which was not expected and it didn't taste the best. The decor was old and worn out. I don't think we'll be back again but the lunch menu prices were decent.
They forgot my extra ranch and put mushrooms on my salad when I asked to exclude them. If they didn't charge so much I wouldn't mind it but this was a simple order
It's one of my favorite restaurants. I've been going there for over 25 years. I've never been disappointed.
Food is good as well as the service. Prices are decent for the portion amount. Clean establishment and friendly staff.
Had Spaghetti with meat sauce and salad! Very good! Great portion sizes with great pricing! I will definitely be back!
The Stuffed Eggplant and the Manicotti are my favorite dishes here. Manicottis are extremely over priced for the 3 slim ones you get... But they're so good that I don't mind paying. The Stuffed Eggplant is a monstrous serving... Most of the time I cannot finish it and will have leftovers for the next day. The Wedding Soup is not bad... Sometimes there are too much greens in it. Some days it's better than others.
